Ashley (Kim) Gleeson
Founder
Kim Gleeson, the visionary founder of Spiralworks, retired in 2021 after a career spanning over five decades. He began his journey in metal fabrication at just 15 as a boilermaker, and his passion for the artistry of spiral staircases ignited again in the early 90s. By 1997, Kim was designing and engineering custom spiral staircases from a small factory in Seaford, Victoria. As Spiralworks grew, the business relocated to a larger facility in Carrum Downs in 2006 to meet demand.
Following the passing of his wife Jacki in 2017, Kim began passing the reins to his daughter, sharing his wealth of knowledge and expertise with her. Though officially retired in 2021, Kim’s passion for his craft never waned. He remains committed to offering his expertise in estimating and design whenever needed. Kim’s legacy lives on through the successful company he built, and his ongoing influence ensures Spiralworks’ continued success.
